Training & Development

In order to carry out their roles to the highest possible standards, Corps Security is committed to giving all of its employees the skills, knowledge and support they need and deserve through the Corps Welcome scheme.

Our training is broken down into two main areas:

  • Induction Training

This involves on-site training at a customer’s premises. We cover the culture and ethos of both Corps Welcome and the customer and this training is given to every new recruit including those transferred under The Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations (TUPE).

In addition, all recruits undertake our Personal Presentation & Grooming Course. This provides tips, general advice and instruction on all areas of grooming and deportment. We build our customer’s specific requirements into the course if they differ from our general practices.

  • Personal Development Training

Our comprehensive Customer Service Training Programme is independently assessed with external accreditation and/or certification.

For those carrying out reception duties it is possible to become Security Industry Authority (SIA) licensed. For the customer, this can be a distinct advantage by enhancing operational effectiveness during an incident. It also means that receptionists can help provide assistance to manned security guards if and when necessary.

At Corps Security everyone matters and each year every employee receives an appraisal. Appropriate training is then provided to ensure that they have the opportunity to develop their career. Everyone is given a personal development plan, which plots out the training, coaching and assistance that they can expect to receive.

We believe this plays a key role in allowing them to deliver exceptional customer service, while inspiring them to go beyond the expected.
