Q: I’m looking to install a CCTV system that I’d like remotely monitored – as an end user can I work directly with the CMC?
A: The CMC is a completely independent third party remote monitoring and alarm receiving centre (ARC). As such, we don't have an installation and maintenance division and, therefore, we don’t actually sell direct to end users.
However, we know plenty of companies that do and only work with those that provide best in class services. Q: I like what I’ve read about the CMC. Can I come up to Glasgow to see the facilities for myself?
A: Yes, of course you can. We are proud of the CMC and the investment we have made in the latest state-of-the-art technology. Therefore, we encourage all of our existing and potential customers to visit the CMC and meet our team of experts.
Q: Is Corps Security an approved ARC for all types of alarms?
A: The technology we have in the CMC, such as the Sentinel Plus suite of alarm receiving technology from Monitor Computer Systems, means that we are able to monitor all varieties of modern intruder alarms and fire detection systems.
What's more, we have NSI Gold accreditation as well as BS 8418, ISO 9001:2008, BS 5979 and BS 8484 certifications, and are active members of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA).
Q: Can you recommend an intruder and fire detection alarm company in my area?
A: Yes, and we try and make the process as easy as possible. Simply email Corps Monitoring at - firstname.lastname@example.org - submit your details together with a brief outline of your requirements and a member of our team will forward details of our installation partners that operate within your area. They’ll then contact you to make a site visit and outline their recommendations.
Q: Can you give me some indication of how much the CMC charges for its monitoring services?
A: That’s difficult to do, as there’s no ‘one size fits all’ solution. Costs can vary from product to product, dependent on the signalling type, the package and the contract term.
However, a few minutes with a member of our sales team will allow them to take some details, ask some questions and provide an indication of the costs associated with your requirement.
Q: What makes the CMC different from other monitoring centres?
Built at a cost of £1.5m, the CMC offers a diverse range of services including remote CCTV monitoring, alarm receiving, environmental monitoring, call centre management, crime reporting and lone worker monitoring. Customers across many market sectors use these services on an independent basis, or as part of an integrated solution incorporating manpower and technology.

We also have three engineers who are permanently based in the control room. They all attend installation and maintenance courses for the main transmission and ancillary equipment installed at our customers’ sites. This, along with the input and advice from our IT colleagues, enables us to ensure that our installation partners always receive the very highest level of support on a 24/7 basis.
Q: What transmission systems do you support for CCTV?
We operate over SureView Systems’ IMMIX operating platform, which consolidates a wide range of different CCTV, access control, fire detection and intruder alarm systems into one simple operator interface. It’s proven to dramatically increase the efficiency of remote monitoring centres offering next generation video monitoring services.
Some of the transmission systems we monitor are:
