With the growing interest in genealogy, at Corps Security we often receive enquiries about ex-employees and are asked whether we can provide any information about them.
We are always willing to do our best to help in this regard. With a history dating back over 150 years, it helps if you can provide us with as much information as possible about when you think that the person you are looking for was with us.
Typically, we can provide information such as their regiment, their employee number and the dates they joined and left the company. We do not keep personal information on individuals’ military records, nor do we record their regimental number or other personal information.
However, we do have something called a ‘succession number’, which may well represent the regimental number, and it is sometimes possible to obtain a military file with that. Depending on when they worked for us, we may have more detailed information we can give you.
Much of this information is detailed in hard copy logbooks in our archive room. Therefore, please allow at least five to fifteen working days for a response to correspondence enquiring about former commissionaires.
If you would like us to search for an ancestor or friend, please submit your request to:

Alternatively, you can send an email to Archives@corpssecurity.co.uk
